The Beginning

In order to form a more perfect way for me to waste time, I have decided to keep a blog. Yes, me, the one who can't remember to write in her journal. But better me than my husband, because we have been married almost a year and he still hasn't written in his that we had our first kiss- a year and a half ago.
I am Lauren. I am a proud parent of Sam, a golden retriever who is eating us out of our apartment, and I couldn't love him more. I have always had a soft spot for animals, and another one for knowledge that I KNOW I will never be able to use in a class or career. So, I have decided that I want people to know these things in case they ever need a conversation starter, a way to avoid the inevitable - whether that be an argument or an announcement you don't want to make yet-, or something that really can help in a conversation. Some of these have actually helped me get involved in conversations, and some have created awkward silences because they are awkward facts.
